11/03/06... Bassist Randy Phelps and his Wife Amy have welcomed their new addition to the family, Kaitlyn Brianna Phelps. She was born Nov 2 at 7:15 PM. Congratulations to Both Randy and Amy.
10/23/06... Frontman Todd Brown and long time friend and adult performer Teri Weigel will be teaming up and sharing the vocal duties for a new single in early 07. The former Playboy Playmate and adult movie star will be working on her own new release in the near future as well. Todd and Teri discussed the idea recently and look forward to working on this project together. Withstand will provide the music with Mike Genett and Murrill Maglio producing the project.
10/22/06... Withstand's music will be featured in Foutz Studios LLC. and Hellstorm Productions feature movie "BIRD IN A GLASS HOUSE". The script by Hannah Dennis is about an 18 year-old drug dealer who wants to break free of street life. He must fight his own emotions, the haunting memories of his past, his resentment of his father and the violence of former buyers. Dennis will direct.

10/20/06... The Righteous Path Of Destruction is nearing completion. Withstand wrote a lot of new material, recorded around 20 tracks, and re-recorded the selected 12 that made the cut. Look for more details on the new release coming soon.
10/05/06... Vocalist Todd Brown will be adding another feature film to his resume when he takes on the role of musician, Val Platt in On Mark Productions new movie "TWILIGHTS PARASITES". The film is in the final writing stages and looks to begin production in early 07. Todd's character takes refuge in an abandoned motel with other survivors as Zombies overrun the outside world.
10/01/06... Withstand will be shooting a video for their single "Wrong" off The Righteous Path Of Destruction. Plans are to shoot the dark storylined video in the winter of 06.
7/11/06... Withstand has teamed with Single Cell Productions (Purgatory) for The Bizarre Bazaar at Tremont Music Hall on July 14, 2006. This show is the first in a new line of fetish rock shows combining sultry visuals with some of the best rock acts. Catch The Graveyard Boulevard and Streifte Geist also on the bill for Tremont. Doors open at 9:00 pm, show starts at 10:00.
11/8/05... Withstand guitarist Mike Gennet will be busy over the winter months with recording projects including Trust Kill Pride as well as others at the Lakeside Zen Studios.
11/7/05... Back in front of the camera, singer Todd Brown has signed on for a supporting role in the wartime terrorist drama titled "TOLERANCE" . Todd will also once again be teaming up with on screen queen Ryli Morgan in Mark Baranowski's Horror, "GRYNN" . Update: Production on both of these projects has been pushed back.
11/06/05... Withstand wrapped up a busy month of shows for Oct and early Nov which included the Technonomicon, Helloween and more. Now the guys will be taking a little break.
9/19/05... Withstand is looking to have advanced copies of Their third release available by mid october. Notify the band in advance about obtaining a copy.
8/18/05... Withstand frontman Todd Brown wrapped up shooting this week for his latest on screen appearance in On Mark Productions "HEAVEN HELP ME I'M IN LOVE". Todd's supporting role of Darryl portrays him as a knowledged porn lover on a date with main character Angie, played by horror scream queen, Ryli Morgan. The comedy is scheduled for release in late 2005.
8/16/05... Withstand drummer Mike Pressley & his wife Patty welcomed their new baby girl, Madeline Jean Rose Pressley monday at 11:22PM @ the CMC in Charlotte. She was 6 lbs 3 oz @, 18'.
7/26/05... Withstand has been busy recording for their 3rd release. 12 tracks have been layed down for the upcoming release not yet titled. Look for more information to come around soon on a release date.
Two more Technonomicons have taken place over June and July in Fayetteville and Albemarle, NC. The next installment of Technonomicon brings some rock madness to you just in time for Halloween at Club 315.
5/1/05... The Tribe Of More CD release party was a rocking show. Withstand performed along with Tribe Of More and Tradeskin (formerly known as Deviant). All of the bands flowed through the night and the packed crowd was awesome with a sea of faces jumping. Withstand returns to Tremont May 13th for the next Technonomicon with Dead 7, Murdercycle and Art Of Dying.
4/30/05... Withstand performed at The Extravaganza Entertainment Building. The show kicked off late due to some sound issues which put Withstand on in the early morning hours. Tired but ready to rock Withstand creeps their way into Tremont tonight for the Tribe Of More CD release show which will surely be a show to remember.
4/25/05... The Extravaganza show with Withstand and 4 other acts has been selected by CHARLOTTE LIVE MUSIC as the "Pick Of The Week".
4/15/05... The first phase of Technonomicon 2005 went down at Winthrop University with Trivium headlining the night. A great blend of music and entertainment it was. Now that the Technonomicon series is underway for 2005 expect awesome shows as the series makes the next stops at Tremont Music Hall in Charlotte, Jesterz in Fayetteville and The Brewery in Raleigh.
4/4/05... A little over a week away from the kick off of Technonomicon 2005. What a way to start it off with Trivium headlining the show. If you have made it this far through the site without checking out their music, do yourself a favor and do it. Thursday April 14th is sure to be a massive rock fest, a party, and a night to remember at Winthrop University, so it's definitely a show you won't want to miss.
4/2/05... Technonomicon 2005 featuring Trivium, Joshua's Whisper, Withstand, Sick Sanity, Souls Of Anguish and Word Of Few has been selected by CHARLOTTE LIVE MUSIC as the "Pick Of The Week".
4/2/05... Withstand played the Irish Cue for the first time since early 2004 for an april fools show. The crowd was great and the set ended nicely with the Withstand drop D version of TNT being screamed out by the crowd. Status Flow rounded out the night for their farewell performance which made it a night for The Irish Cue's history. Or at least a good reason to drink a lot.
3/15/05... Recording for Tribe Of More has now been completed as Mike G turns his sites to the recording of Nvain.
2/23/05... Withstand is throwing on some tour dates leading up to this years Technonomicon. Including more college shows and stops at some new venues. Withstand is also rocking some new material throughout these shows including "Wrong", "Devil Woman", "Guilt" and their own heavy version of the cover song "Sweet Leaf". So be sure to catch Withstand with friends at The Room, Hickory Underground, Winthrop University and more to come.
2/12/05... Recording for Tribe Of More has kicked off in the Zen Wang Bingo Chamber Of Sound. Being produced and engineered by Withstand's Mike Genett, look for Tribe's release later this summer.
1/16/05... Withstand's Mike Genett has been busy producing a new release for fellow NC rockers Souls Of Anguish. SOA and Mike have wrapped up the recording process and now move on to the mixing. Mike has 2 more production projects that will follow SOA's in early 2005.
1/10/05... Withstand's Todd Brown has been selected and given a music industry referral for the closed audition for the multi platinum band INXS and Mark Burnett's new television show Rock Star. INXS has teamed with Burnett in their global search for a new lead singer. Withstand's rock with Todd's voice caught the ear of talent personel with Mark Burnett Productions after band searches across the internet. By gaining the music industry referral this eliminates Todd from open calls and puts him straight in front of industry representatives from various forms of entertainment when the search comes to Charlotte. Final auditions will be held in Hollywood in May of 2005 where 10 to 15 finalists will be selected. Rock Star will broadcast on CBS starting in July of 2005. Mark Burnett is the creator of Survivor, The Apprentice and The Contender.
1/07/05... Invading Withrop University in the new year. Even though Withstand is taking a breather from live shows at the moment gearing up for a 2005 schedule, a kicking show has been added. January 14 at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC the guys will be bringing the show to the college scene. Special guests Tribe Of More will be kicking things off at 8:00 pm. 11/22/04... Withstand is named as "Artist Of The Month" for November on www.modernrock.com. This is the second time in 2004 Withstand has received this honor in 2004.
10/19/04... ROCK WAVE 2 will be taking place saturday Oct 30th at The Glenn Center in Concord NC. The Glenn Center is located at 120 Marsh Ave, Concord, NC. On the bill is Souls Of Anguish, Withstand, The New Blacks, Sunset Cemetary and Chyme. Doors open at 4.00 pm with the show beginning at 5:00. Not only is this a rock show it is a costume party with the best costumes winning available merchandise from each band and $50.00 cash to the best costume. Tickets are $5.00 in advance and $7.00 at the door.

9/9/04... Withstand received several reviewer awards on www.garageband.com for tracks off the new release Nothing. Crack In The Mirror received "Best Drums" and "Best Beat" and Malice In Wonderland received "Best Bass" and "Best Programming" for the week of August 9th.

7/18/04... Technonomicon Act 3 was a rocking show and a huge success. 6 bands pounded out a night of rock. On two occasions the bar ran out of beer and had to go swipe some from the topless bar next door also owned by the club. A lot of beer and seroius sounds were consumed. 5/5/04... Withstand will be filming at the upcoming Technonomicon Act 2 for a live DVD which will be available this summer. The DVD includes behind the scenes info on the band, one on one interviews and of course the live show covering the new "Nothing" release. Soon to be announced will be the complete line up for Technonomicon 2 which is taking place in Greensboro NC at Aces.
3/23/04... All the details for Technonomicon Act 1 have been put in place. The line up consists of (in order of appearance) Souls Of Anguish, A Black Acadia Mourning, Withstand, Civilty Burns, and Tribe Of More. Admission is only $6.00 at the door. Doors open at 8:00 pm with the show starting at 9:00 and running until 2:00 at Pucketts in Charlotte, NC. Technonomicon is the brain child of Withstand and Zen Wang Bingo's Mike Genett. Putting an emphasis on the Charlotte, NC music scene and bringing bands and their fans together. Introducing different styles of rock into one explosive night for a total of 4 shows in 2004. The first show on January 17th 2004 included Souls Of Anguish, Old Fashioned, Lazy Susan, Tribe Of More and Withstand. Through the rest of the series Withstand has chosen to take the middle spot in the line up and let other acts showcase their talent in the final spot. Any way you look at it the show is a night full of headliners from beginning to end. This installment of the series is certainly the heaviest night for Technonomicon so dont miss it.
2/24/04... Withstand's Mike Genett has been busy putting together Technonomicon 2004. The intro to the series of shows that will take place in 2004 was a wild show. The club was packed to see the line up of Souls Of Anguish, Old Fashioned, Lazy Suzan, Tribe Of More and Withstand. The rest of the series is filled with some of the top bands of North Carolina and beyond including Murdercycle, Status Flow, Skapegoat, Gruv Union, Joshua's Whisper and many more.
1/10/04... Withstand has been chosen as "Featured Band Of The Month" for January in Avada Online Magazine.
12/22/03... Many things have been happening for Withstand over the past couple months. 2 new songs have been wrote and many shows have been played including 3 at the new Tequila Sky in Charlotte, NC where Withstand will be opening for some national acts in 2004, more details to come. The final details are being put on the upcoming release "Nothing" due out in the spring of 2004. Look for many new and exciting things to come from Withstand in 2004.
9/30/03... Big weekend of rock coming to the charlotte area this weekend Oct 3rd, 4th and 5th. First off friday at JB'Z, Withstand rocks with special guests Unsheltered and Wojo Bragg. Saturday Oct 4th Withstand continues the rock show at The Irish Cue with Onion and sharing the stage with the Withstand crew for the first time....Murdercycle. Finally sunday the Weenie Roast will take place at Verizon where Withstand's friends Status Flow, Etheric, and The New Blacks will play along with Staind, Sevendust, Trapt and many more. So start your weekend off right rocking with the guys of Withstand.
9/28/03... What a blast we had at The Homeland Rockfest. It was hot and it was new territory to us but the people of York, SC absolutely ROCK.
7/11/03... Angels to be featured in motion picture. Withstand's single "Angels" will be used in the movie soundtrack for "Afterlife" being filmed in NC this summer. Chapel Grove Films will be filming the feature production in the Gastonia and Charlotte area.

5/24/03 ... The upcoming CD is nearing completion of the recording phase. The final vocal tracks will be finished soon and on to the mastering. Expect to be surprised by the intense music on this CD. Withstand has added a couple more festival shows which include headlining the SunFest on June 27th and 28th and the HorrorFest on October 11th. More details to come on each show.
